Tweseldown Day 1

Day one of Tweseldown Horse Trials - a pretty local event for us and always a great first proper run of the season. I was always questioning whether Top Biats would run XC at this time of year as the ground is often rather wet but we were blessed with probably the best XC ground we’ll have all year!! To start the day I had 6yo Global Promise, who was fantastic in the BE100 and he first affiliated event to finish 3rd. She did a good dressage of 30 and a fantastic double clear, although jockey was obviously in la la land getting 4 time faults in the show jumping - luckily it didn't affect her placing otherwise I'd have been in big trouble! Top Biats had his first run of the year in the Open Intermediate - he didn't do his best dressage, usually he is as close to perfect as I think I'll ever ride, but he still led the dressage in a seriously competitive section on 26! He had a jockey error pole in the show jumping, the first I've ever had on him before giving me probably the best XC round we've had together, albeit a little slow, to finish 9th! Day 2 sees Quick Guy in the Novice #backtoit
