A Very Long 36 Hours
So we set off to Ballindenisk with limited optimism that it would run, particularly looking at the weather forecast, however with no worries from the organisers we set off on our trip to the Emerald Isle. Not even an hour after driving off the ferry at Dublin, we got the call to say the event was totally waterlogged and would not be running...queue a very frustrated horse, parents, owners etc. who had all travelled a fair way for an event that was no longer happening. Fortunately the only upside was that I had already organised a dressage lesson with Ian Woodhead at a friends on my way, so I headed there as planned. Dynasty was fantastic, however it was just a little extreme to go all the way to Ireland for a lesson...Ian is good, but is he that good?
Dynasty had some fluids to make sure he was hydrated, and we begun the journey home. He will now have a little holiday and we will replan his season...unfortunately that means no Luhmuhlen for us, but he will possibly go to Tattersalls instead in order to gain his 4* qualification.
