Burnham Market International Horse Trials
It must be fairly obvious from our lack of event updates that we have not been doing much...unfortunately event after event has fallen foul to the bad weather. We did however manage one run at Burnham with Top Biats in the OI on the Friday - he did a stunning test to lead his section on 23, and jumped double clear, however he picked up a few time faults, meaning he finished second by less than 1 penalty.
Dynasty did his dressage on the Thursday, scoring a slightly harsh mark of 33, so we were waiting for Saturday for him to do his jumping. Friday night we sat in the lorry listening to the torrential rain and keeping our fingers firmly crossed we would get to jump. It was however, not to be, and was so frustrating for all the competitors and organisers that they could not run the international classes. Alec, however, let a few of us that were preparing for big events, have a XC school round the courses, so although not getting to run properly, Dynasty jumped round almost the entirety of the 3* track, feeling absolutely fantastic and more than ready to head to Ballindenisk for the CCI3*.
