Keysoe Horse Trials

Another beautiful days eventing in glorious weather at Keysoe, with both Guus DHI and Balius 7 in the Open Novice. Guus did a nice test for 34.5, frustratingly had the last fence down jumping out of a short striding double, but then did a fantastic clear XC with a handful of time faults to finish just outside the top ten - he is starting to feel really established at this level! Theo was also much improved scoring 35 in the dressage, and then copied his stable mate by rolling a pole in the show jumping, but jumping a much more flowing round. He went a bit green XC having been thrown in at the deep end going virtually straight to Novice level, but learnt a lot and was incredible XC schooling at home the following day. Very grateful to Harry Horton for letting us invade his yard at my family home, and great to get to attend my old local events whilst I'm in the area!
